Course Description

Let’s look at the definition of “task analysis”: according to the Indiana University Resource Center for Autism: “task analysis is used to break down complex skills into manageable, discrete steps. Students learn the individual steps in sequence in order to master the overall skill.” 

So how do speech and feeding professionals apply task analysis in early intervention settings?

TalkTools Instructor, Monica Purdy, will present EI case studies and walk through how to apply a task analysis with achievable goals. Participants will then create their own task analysis and goals for one of their own clients, share their analysis/goals and provide feedback and strategies with fellow participants. Task Analysis templates will be provided. Participants are encouraged to identify an EI case (no client names disclosed)  in preparation for this course.

3. Identify 3 achievable client goals
