Course Description

What one SLP may call “backing” is what another SLP will call “lack of tongue tip elevation”!   Have you ever wondered when to determine if a client needs a sensory-motor based speech program vs a phonological approach?  This mini webinar will examine phonological processes with a “sensory-motor” based lens and help you decide if oral placement therapy would be beneficial to add to your therapy program.

Learning Outcomes

  • Participants will be able to discuss differences between traditional therapy practices and sensory motor based therapy practices .
  • Participants will be able to identify when a sensory-motor approach would be beneficial to the child.
  • Participants will be able to learn sensory-motor speech therapy techniques to implement in your practice.
