Nina Ayd Johanson, MA, MS, CCC-SLP, CLC is a speech-language pathologist, certified lactation counselor, and certified educator of infant massage who specializes in pediatric feeding. She is a highly regarded clinician and renowned teacher with more than 27 years of experience. Nina has trained thousands of therapists both in the US and internationally in “AEIOU: An Integrated Approach to Pediatric Feeding,” a comprehensive professional training course in responsive feeding that she developed and continues to teach. Nina recently retired from her position as a senior speech-language pathologist for an acclaimed children’s hospital where she was the founder and lead therapist of the TOTs Program (for infants with feeding problems due to tethered oral tissues). She continues to work in private practice in Baltimore, and part time with the Maryland Pediatric Group. She has extensive experience specializing in infants with sucking dysfunction and young children with oral motor/feeding disorders, complex medical and developmental issues, autism spectrum disorders, and provision of home-based early intervention and parent training. In addition to her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Loyola College of Maryland, she holds a Master of Arts in the Applied Healing Arts from Maryland University of Integrative Health (formerly Tai Sophia Institute), and is a board certified Holistic Health Practitioner.
