Mindfulness is the awareness that arises from paying attention to the present moment with an attitude of curiosity, non-judgement and acceptance.
Breath awareness and the effects of breathing practices are immeasurable to the physical, mental and emotional well being and can be experienced in many forms. This workshop will introduce the importance of breath awareness and explore various breathing exercises that invite mind-body consciousness and connection. Breathing practices may be used to focus attention, reduce stress levels in the body, regulate the body’s reaction to fatigue, stimulate energy, release physical tension, lower your heart rate and lower your blood pressure. Participants will experience the most common techniques and guided practices that may be used throughout the day.
