An overview of neuroaffirming, connection-based, child-led and trauma-informed therapy will be provided. Ideas of how to promote regulation and engagement as well as total communication from the presenter’s clinical work will be discussed. The Motor Speech intervention Neuro Diversity Affirming Practice (MIND-AP) Framework (Moore et al, 2024) will be discussed. Ideas for how to structure therapy sessions from the presenter’s clinical experience as well as the MIND-AP Framework (Moore et al, 2024) will be presented.  \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eChildren with motor speech disorders need treatment based on the principles of motor learning in order to achieve optimal progress. Many clinicians utilize at least some principles of motor learning when treating speech sound disorders, but are not confident about how to utilize these principles for maximal success. The principles of motor learning will be discussed, as well as how to best utilize them in therapy for generalization.
