Mary Pool, SLP

Mary is from a small town in Ohio, USA. She got her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders from Bowling Green State University and then attended the University of North Carolina Greensboro for her Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology. She is registered with the American Speech Language Hearing Association (USA), the Royal College of Speech Language Therapists (UK), and the Health and Care Professions Council (UK), and is licensed in California, North Carolina, and Ohio.

She has worked in schools and clinics in the USA and England, as well as internationally in schools in London, Brussels, Hanoi, Tokyo, Beijing, and now, Seoul. Mary enjoys working in multi-disciplinary teams and is passionate about orofacial myofunctional disorders and their effects on communication skills.

She is a TalkTools® OPT™ Level 3 Therapist and is working on becoming a Certified Orofacial Myologist. In her leisure time, Mary works to maintain balance through yoga, cycling, and attempting to keep house plants alive.
