TalkTools® Sensi® Soft Spoon Tip

A soft-durometer, spoon-shaped vibrotactile tip for the Sensi handle, the Sensi Soft Spoon Tip provides gentle pressure and input to the tongue surface and lips during oral placement and pre-feeding therapy. Its softer material makes it an entry-level option for clients with heightened oral sensitivity who are not yet ready for firmer tip textures.

Therapy Goals

  • Provide gentle vibratory and tactile input to the tongue dorsum and lateral margins to reduce oral hypersensitivity
  • Support early tongue-bowl shaping and tongue-to-spoon contact for pre-feeding skill development
  • Facilitate lip closure and graded oral motor response to spoon input
  • Prepare clients for acceptance of food from a standard spoon by introducing soft-spoon contact in a controlled, graded manner
  • Soft durometer material reduces the intensity of tactile input, making it appropriate for highly sensitive clients

  • Before first use, wash the tip thoroughly with soap and warm running water.
  • After each use, promptly remove the tip from the handle and clean with soap and warm running water.
  • Do not submerge the Sensi handle in water; clean the handle exterior with a damp cloth only.
  • Avoid harsh abrasives, bleach-based cleaners, or chemical disinfectants on tip materials.
  • Inspect the tip before every use; replace at the first sign of cracking, tearing, or deterioration.
  • Store tips in the included travel case or a clean, dry container between sessions.
Warning: Do NOT use this product with individuals who have been diagnosed with seizure disorders that are stimulated by vibration.
