TalkTools® Itsy™ Cup Set

TalkTools® Itsy™ Cup Set

The TalkTools® Itsy™ Cup Set is an all-in-one therapeutic cup designed to support the transition from caregiver-led drinking to self-directed straw drinking to independent open-cup drinking. Developed by speech-language pathologist and occupational therapist teams and inspired by TalkTools® founder Sara Rosenfeld Johnson, this cup is inclusive by design, addressing the needs of children with sensory, neurological, physical, or developmental differences alongside typically developing children.

Therapy Goals

  • Support the transition from caregiver-led drinking to self-directed straw and open-cup drinking
  • Encourage bilateral coordination and stability for emerging self-feeders
  • Reduce spills while building drinking independence through supportive cup components
  • Provide optional sensory input through a dual-ended straw with ruffled texture
  • Support early straw skills and lip control using the included flange and shorter straw length
  • Four-component system (cup, lid, straw, flange) customizable to each child's current drinking skills and developmental stage
  • Sloped lid supports open-cup drinking with minimal spills via an ergonomically angled opening that eliminates excessive neck extension
  • Dual-handled cup body encourages bilateral coordination and stability for emerging self-feeders
  • 5 oz. liquid capacity with 1-oz volume lines supports precise measurement for clinical or dietary monitoring
  • Dual-ended straw with sensory ruffles on one end provides optional additional proprioceptive input
  • Shorter straw length facilitates self-drinking for children at early straw skill stages
  • Flange functions as a lip block to reduce spills and enables liquid pumping for straw skill progression
  • Made from LFGB Platinum grade silicone exceeding FDA standards
  • Infants and toddlers transitioning from breast or bottle to cup and straw drinking
  • Children with sensory processing disorders, oral motor difficulties, or feeding challenges
  • Children with autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, or neurological differences affecting feeding

Cleft lip & palate

Perfect cup to transition from bottle. My son needed to learn how to use an open cup before his palate surgery at 8 months, after trying countless cups, this cup was a life saver!

Great cup for straw drinking

I am an SLP and found this cup very effective with a patient who is 8 months old who has struggled with straw drinking as well as bottle feeding via a nipple. I think the short straw and adjustable lip block make this cup very effective.

Versatile cup

This cup is easy to use and because it grows with the child definitely worth the cost.

TalkTools Itsy Cup

We knew drinking out of a straw would be a challenge for our littlest one, but this cup and the thought process behind it goes above and beyond all expectations! We tried it out and have already ordered three more. Absolutely a game changer!!

Perfect cup for little baby hands

This is the perfect first sipper cup. Easy hand grips allow baby to comfortable hold. It also is great for actually keeping the liquid in the cup as we all
Know how much these little like to throw things on the floor.

Very well designed

The features that are amazing: double-handle, nosey (one side cut deeper than the other side) cup integration, straw with a tight-fitting lid, and air hole to allow for continuous draw through the straw.
The ONLY feature that could use some improvement is the lip block. The lip block was small enough and flexible enough for a 9-month-old to completely place inside of his mouth when in place on the straw - negating the purpose of the lip block.

Awesome Product!

My friend recommended this cup for my son and I ordered right after we came home. There are so many good details that make this product outstanding from others. Even it’s quite pricy. But compare to all the money we wasted on the bad cups, this really worth it.

Love it!

I like that this cup can be used for both open cup and straw training. The silicone material is awesome for a teething baby. My little one sometimes likes to also play with the cup causing it to knock over. The lid of the cup has a good seal, but some small amounts of water will come out of the straw itself when it tips over.

great cup

I tried to look up and buy other cup but this one, this one really stands out among them. The color is cute and perfect for babies having a small hands to hold a cup on their own. So easy to clean and durable. I highly recommended buying this cup!

Great cup for little one!

Cup is soft and easy for baby to hold and is the perfect size. The straw having a stopper at the end is a huge plus so baby can’t pull it out. Yes, it can leak if baby tips it upside down, but that’s because there’s a small hole in the top that is necessary for the straw to function properly. Highly recommend!

My first cup!

This cup is a nice transition after the bottle drinking. Nice material and easy to clean. The straw is good too, my daughter learns to drink from it in just couple of sips(how amazing is that?!) Overall its a great cup for your kiddos!

Great learner cup

Really great tool for teaching baby to use a straw. Not spill proof, but who cares, this tiny tiny cup is a fantastic teaching device both for straw use and for open cup drinking. Easy to use and easy to clean.

Love it!

My sister recommended this cup to assist my 10 month old daughter with transitioning from a sippy cup to a regular cup. Our daughter used this cup with the straw right away and loved it. It’s soft yet sturdy and is so easy to clean. I highly recommend this product!

Your-go Cup!

One of the parents struggle- is to find THAT CUP. I found ours. Perfect to teach to drink with straw. Easy to clean, easy to open, simple and perfect straw. Its not leak proof, but some drops of water ain't no big deal. So easy to clean, just get it!

Amazing

My 9month year old daughter was able to get it on her first try unlike all the other sippy cups we have which required more suction. After a few tries should could then get the other ones. It's like a to-go cup. Easy to clean too.

Can't knock it off!

This is my fourth kiddo so we’ve owned a lot of different soppy cups! This one is great. It’s also very stable, he has to knock it over on purpose to tip it. The small size and ease of use make this cup our go-to. We don’t even use the other cups. I’ve even ordered a second one, so we always have one clean. Highly recommend!

My baby loves it

My 7 month old loves this cup. She mastered it immediately, I cant imagine that! I still hold it for her because I am sure it would leak if she held it upside down. But, the straw is easier to drink from than many of the “leakproof” cups that you have to bite on.

My personal recommend!

As an occupational therapist, I really liked this product for my 6 month old! A speech therapist recommended this cup since it is great for oral motor development. I can’t say it’s 100% leak proof since it is a straw cup, but it’s super easy to clean, a nice small size, and I just keep it in my 6 month old diaper bag for when we are out of the house. Worth every penny!

Worth for the second time!

Love that this isn’t plastic and easy to use. Actually this is the second that I've bought, more or less as a backup in case we lose the first. My little one took less than 24 hours to learn to drink out of the straw! Fits perfectly in her little hands!

Get some of these!

I was worried this would be too big but it’s a good size for small hands. The base makes it harder to tilt over but my baby still knocks it down. I bought it to teach her to drink from a straw and being able to tilt the water into her mouth without squeezing did the trick. Perfectly for a reasonable price.

Your game changer cup!

We started practicing with straw cups when my baby was 5 months old (due to bottle rejection) and didn’t gain much traction until the ola baby cup (we started with the ezpz straw training cup.) He loves this cup! It has a wide enough lid so it doesn’t topple over as easily as other designs and is a good size for little hands to grasp. It’s very easy to wash. I’m so happy we got this cup rather than struggling with something else.

Pretty good cup!

We love that this is silicone and easy to clean. The size is perfect for little hands to grasp. We use it daily. Still better than traditional sippy cup because the straw won't negatively impact dental development.

Best baby cup

I wish I had bought these when my baby was 6 months. But I used the open infant cup and he learned to drink from those. I tried sippy cups and was concerned with how much pressure it put on his teeth. So we started learning to drink from straws for 2 days and then these came in and he is a pro!! Highly recommend these for young babies to learn to drink from a straw.

Your Best Cup!

My little loves this cup! She enjoys drinking out of the straw . She sometimes gets confused and tries to tip this cup up to drink from the straw. The top stays on, even though both the cup and top are flexible. Highly recommended.

Best Silicone Straw Cup!!

Works well and easy to clean. Love it’s function of multiple uses. This cup is better than all the others we tried (and we tried many!). The wide base gives it some serious stability, It really does have a good seal around the lid. Overall a very good cup for your babies.
