TalkTools® Sensi® Soft Low Jaw Tip

The TalkTools® Sensi® Soft Low Jaw Tip is the entry-level tip in the soft jaw tip grading series, offering the gentlest combination of vibrotactile jaw input and minimal biting resistance. Recommended as the starting point for clients who are not yet tolerating firmer jaw tip textures or who have significant oral hypersensitivity. Connects to the Soft Medium Jaw Tip as the next step in the soft hierarchy. For clinical guidance, see TalkTools OPT courses.

Therapy Goals

  • Introduce jaw grading work at the lowest resistance level for clients with high oral sensitivity or defensiveness
  • Build initial jaw stability and controlled closing movements without aversive tactile input
  • Reduce oral hypersensitivity around the jaw through gentle, graded vibrotactile input
  • Prepare clients to progress to the Soft Medium Jaw Tip within the jaw grading hierarchy
  • Lowest resistance in the soft jaw tip series — appropriate for the most sensitive clients
  • Soft durometer minimizes aversive tactile input while still providing measurable jaw resistance
  • Pairs with Sensi vibration to support sensory acceptance alongside jaw grading goals

  • Before first use, wash the tip thoroughly with soap and warm running water
  • After each use, remove the tip from the handle and clean with soap and warm running water
  • Do not submerge the Sensi handle in water; clean the handle exterior with a damp cloth only
  • Avoid harsh abrasives, bleach-based cleaners, or chemical disinfectants on tip materials
  • Inspect the tip before every use; replace at the first sign of cracking, tearing, or deterioration
  • Store tips in a clean, dry container between sessions
Warning: Do NOT use this product with individuals who have been diagnosed with seizure disorders that are stimulated by vibration. Not intended for unsupervised use by children under 3 years of age.
