TalkTools® Horn Kit

The TalkTools® Horn Kit is a structured set of twelve graduated horns designed to develop oral airflow, lip rounding, jaw grading, and breath support for speech production. Used as part of an Oral Placement Therapy (OPT) program, the kit provides a systematic hierarchy that progresses clients through increasingly challenging oral-motor tasks.

Highly Recommend! Make Respiratory Exercises Fun!

These may seems like simple horns that you can find at any party store, but as a parent who is busy with so many things, your time is more valuable - so stop searching and buy this kit! Oh, and you probably won't find all these unique horns that they have. They are so much fun for our son! Our son has respiratory limitations and this kit is going to be so incredible and help him gain some strength and power when he blows out. The kit comes with different levels of horns and educational material to help you know the order at which you should use them. Highly recommend!

Great tools

Love this tool kit. It’s a tactile visual hierarchy that parents and kids can easily connect with . As you move up the hierarchy improvements are easily seen and progress is noted. It’s a fun way for the kids to get their tongue retracting and side spreading while learning how to better access diaphragmatic breathing. I’ve used this kit for over 20 years - I do miss the balloon as the final horn- but I’ve found it very helpful with a multitude of diagnoses and even my adult clients have had fun using the kit.

Horn Therapy

I have been practicing for 30 years , and when I was introduced to the Horn Blowing program by Sara Roosevelt -Johnson through a workshop I was so impressed on how these tools work to help assist the development of abdominal grading , and tongue retraction. I have found these programs significantly affect the development of speech development . I use these programs in conjunction with my traditional articulation therapy and phonological therapy. I have seen a world of difference in the progress of my students. The oral placement therapy compliments my therapy treatment approach.

Really helpful!

As a speech therapist and an oral placement therapist who has been using the Horn Kit for over 7 years, I have to say that it has really helped my clients develop the needed motor movements as well as the needed phonatory control over speech. The hierarchy has helped the children understand how to prolong their sounds and not just make sudden bursts of air, so that they could plan and make better motor movements for speech production in terms of isolated sounds and gradually combinations.
