TalkTools® Sensi® Low Jaw Tip
Clinicians introduce the TalkTools® Sensi® Low Jaw Tip at the start of standard jaw tip grading programs, since it offers the least resistance among the standard-durometer tips. It builds initial jaw stability at the outset of Oral Placement Therapy (OPT) before progressing to Medium and High Jaw Tip levels. For clinical training, see TalkTools OPT courses.
Therapy Goals
- Introduce standard jaw grading resistance at the lowest level within the jaw tip hierarchy
- Develop initial jaw stability, symmetrical jaw closing, and controlled bite contact
- Provide vibrotactile feedback to the lateral jaw and molar region at a low-resistance starting point
- Establish jaw grading baseline from which clinical progress toward Medium and High Jaw Tips is measured
- Entry-level resistance makes it the appropriate starting point for most clients new to jaw grading
- Standard durometer provides consistent, predictable bite resistance for objective clinical measurement
- Works with Sensi vibration for a sensory-plus-resistance approach to jaw training
- Compatible with all Sensi handles via the quarter-turn attachment
- BPA-free, FDA-compliant, latex-free materials safe for intraoral use
- Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) implementing Oral Placement Therapy (OPT) or Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT)

- Before first use, wash the tip thoroughly with soap and warm running water
- After each use, remove the tip from the handle and clean with soap and warm running water
- Do not submerge the Sensi handle in water; clean the handle exterior with a damp cloth only
- Avoid harsh abrasives, bleach-based cleaners, or chemical disinfectants on tip materials
- Inspect the tip before every use; replace at the first sign of cracking, tearing, or deterioration
- Store tips in a clean, dry container between sessions
Warning: Do NOT use this product with individuals who have been diagnosed with seizure disorders that are stimulated by vibration. Not intended for unsupervised use by children under 3 years of age.
