TalkTools® Green Chewy

The TalkTools Green Chewy is a firm oral motor chew tool designed to build jaw strength, coordination, and mobility in clients who need increased resistance during biting and chewing exercises. It provides consistent tactile and proprioceptive input to the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) while offering a safe, durable alternative to thumb sucking, pacifier use, and teeth grinding. Firmer than the TalkTools Purple Chewy, it is used when a client has progressed beyond the softer option. For clinical guidance on oral motor chewy programs, see TalkTools OPT courses.

Therapy Goals

  • Develop and strengthen biting and chewing skills through repetitive oral motor exercise
  • Build jaw strength, grading, coordination, and range of motion
  • Provide controlled TMJ stimulation for clients who seek oral proprioceptive input
  • Reduce or replace maladaptive oral habits such as thumb sucking, pacifier use, and bruxism
  • Firmer resistance than the TalkTools Purple Chewy, making it suitable for clients who have progressed beyond a softer chew tool
  • Provides consistent, graded sensory input to the jaw and TMJ
  • Safe, portable alternative to thumb sucking and teeth grinding
  • Simple to clean and maintain between therapy sessions
  • Slight natural variance in color and texture is inherent to the manufacturing process and does not affect performance
  • Children and adults receiving Oral Placement Therapy (OPT) or Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT)
  • Clients with autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, or low muscle tone
