Susie Appleman is an ASHA certified, Arizona State licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, and Board Certified Orofacial Myologist. She is the CEO and Director of Big Apple Speech Therapy, LLC.

Susie has over twenty-five years of experience working with infants, children, and adults with varying degrees of communication impairments or orofacial myofunctional disorders. She is also trained to diagnose and treat (pre- and post-op) Tethered Oral Tissues (TOTS): Tongue, Lip or Buccal Ties. She has worked in school settings, private practice, and developmental centers.

Susie’s true passion is Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (OMDs). She enjoys collaborating with orthodontists, dentists, TMJ specialists and pediatricians to ensure that her patients have consistency in their dental care as well as improvement to their overall health. She works with these professionals to provide holistic care, where she treats the whole patient, and not just their symptoms.
