Course Description

In this 2.5-hour course, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of how to support grammar development in gestalt language processors using the DSS and DST charts. The course provides an in-depth explanation of Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) stages 3-6 and offers updated guidance on best practices for scoring GLP language samples within the NLA framework. Attendees will engage in hands-on language sample scoring practice and review real therapy videos to enhance practical skills.

  1. Identify and explain the key characteristics of NLA stages 3-6 to support the natural progression of gestalt language processors.
  2. Assess GLP language samples using the NLA framework, applying DSS and DST charts to evaluate grammar development.
