TalkTools® Itsy™ Bowl & Snack Lid

The TalkTools® Itsy™ Bowl & Snack Lid is a silicone adaptive bowl set designed to support the development of independent self-feeding in infants and young children, including those with sensory, neurological, or physical differences. Developed by speech-language pathologist and occupational therapist teams, the ergonomic bowl and dual-lid system provide the accessibility and structure needed for successful mealtime and snack-time participation.

Therapy Goals

  • Support the development of independent bowl self-feeding through ergonomic adaptive design suited to developing grasps.
  • Facilitate sensory exploration of food textures in a structured and contained mealtime environment.
  • Build fine motor control and hand-to-bowl coordination during scooping and self-feeding activities.
  • Promote motor planning and bilateral coordination through interaction with the snack lid opening.
  • Encourage cross-body exercises and sensory play by converting the bowl into a contained sensory activity container using the snack lid.
  • Ergonomic handle: provides a steady, child-friendly grip to support independent bowl control during self-feeding.
  • Volume measurement lines: allow caregivers to accurately portion food, up to 8 oz.
  • Curved walls: assist food scooping for children developing spoon and utensil skills.
  • Strong suction base: anchors the bowl to the high chair tray to prevent tipping or dropping.
  • Bowl lip: creates a secure lock for both the storage lid and snack lid.
  • Snack lid: forms a tight seal, supports motor planning and fine motor practice, and converts the bowl into a sensory play container.
  • Standard-tray friendly size: fits all standard high chair trays.

  • Before first use: Wash all components with warm water and mild soap, or run through dishwasher on top rack.
  • After each use: Wash bowl and lids with warm water and mild soap, or place on top rack of dishwasher.
  • Microwave safe for food reheating within the stated temperature range.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or scrubbers that may degrade the silicone surface.
  • Inspect all components before each use; replace any piece that is cracked, torn, or showing signs of deterioration.
Warning: Use with adult supervision at all times. Inspect all components before every use and dispose of them properly at the first sign of damage or deterioration.
