Course Description
This course uses humor and scenarios to point out the importance of building bridges across the spectrum of perinatal providers and community support. Genuine relationships with cross-referrals allow for exceptional support for our clients. Entrusted providers must be professional, inclusive and open in order to provide a continuum of care. It reminds all professionals how important it is to have a wide variety of referrals. Developing relationships with other professionals benefits everyone—especially those they serve.
Learning Outcomes
Participants will be able to:
- Implement self-evaluations to determine if they are building or burning bridges
- Show skills to enhance communication among colleagues
- List pillars in the perinatal field who are essential to the breastfeeding relationship
- List factors that cause bridges to fail
