Course Description
Dr. Mary Bourke, Chiropractor, owner and creator of Myomunchee, will be discussing how movement patterns in the body are essential for airway growth, function and proper oral rest posture, how our environment shapes these movements and functions and how these movements differ from volitional exercise. Dr. Bourke will demonstrate how clinicians can influence the genetic expression in pediatric clients to achieve positive outcomes.
Learning Outcomes
Participants will be able to:
- Define the important role that early movement patterns play in airway growth and development
- Identify when there is aberrant patterning and presence of retained primitive reflexes
- Apply the oral posture to the body posture and neurological functioning.
