Course Description | This presentation will look at recognizing the anatomical red-flags of Sleep Disordered Breathing (SDB) and Pediatric Sleep Apnea (PSA). Yulli Tamayo-Myerson will be defining these terms, taking a look at other diagnoses that can contribute to issues with airway and breathing issues. Yulli will be also present case studies demonstrating her approaches and techniques.

- Show the clinical features of these conditions
- Identify the symptoms and possible causes
- Illustrate referral pathways.
- Apply appropriate plans of treatment depending on the case

- 7 minutes – Overview, SDB and PSA definition and symptoms
- 10 minutes – Oral Breathing. Exploring the possible causes (oral ties, facia restrictions, primitive reflex retention and more)
- 10 minutes – Clinical/anatomical red-flags identification, why is oral breathing a huge red-flag?
- 20 minutes – Case presentations (3 cases)
- 5 minutes – Videos from a parent a child
- 20 minutes – My approach and techniques
- 15 minutes -- Wrap-up/Q&A
