Course Description | This video course will teach learners how to conduct an “Initial Oral Placement Therapy (OPT) Evaluation” and four month follow-up “Program Plan Update”, including interviews with the referring SLP and parent, with a three-year-old child with the diagnosis of multiple articulation disorder and a limited food repertoire.
Learning Outcomes | Participants will be able to:
- Complete an “Initial Oral Placement Therapy (OPT) Evaluation for Feeding and Speech.”
- Apply the skills learned in this course to conduct a “Program Plan Update.”
- Complete a program plan including: Sensory, Oral Phase Feeding, OPT and Speech
techniques. - Apply OPT activities in conjunction with traditional speech therapy to improve speech clarity.
