Course Description

A professional development course for occupational therapy practitioners, physical therapy practitioners, and speech-language pathologists. Learn clinical frameworks for the evaluation and treatment of infants with suspected tethered oral tissues — anatomical, developmental, and functional perspectives that support clinical reasoning, assessment, and interdisciplinary collaboration. 

Learning Outcomes

Participants will be able to:

  1. Apply OT frameworks for screening and managing infants with suspected tethered oral tissues
  2. Show comprehensive intake covering prenatal, perinatal, medical, and feeding histories
  3. Interpret neuromotor, postural, sensory-motor, and reflex-related patterns in feeding
  4. Measure compensatory feeding behaviors from underlying dysfunction
