Speech Language pathologists face the challenges of eliciting /r/, /l/, /s/,/th/, /f/. Why are these sounds so difficult to articulate for many kiddos? This course reviews each of these sounds from an oral-motor perspective and provides clear, proven techniques to readily apply in therapy sessions. Participants will be provided resource materials to add to their OPT toolbox.
Learning Outcomes
Upon course completion, participants will be able to:
1. Readily identify articulation issues associated with /r/, /l/, /s/, /th/, /f/
2. Apply 3 techniques to correct articulation issues with these sounds
3. Communicate carryover strategies to parents and the client's therapy team for long-term success
Content Disclosure: This presentation will focus on treatment methods related to the use of TalkTools® resources. Other similar treatment approaches will receive limited or no coverage during this lecture.
