Master a step-by-step approach to assessing orofacial myofunctional disorders.
Accurate assessment is the foundation of successful Orofacial Myofunctional Disorder (OMD) treatment. MYOTools™ 103 is an advanced assessment course designed for clinicians who are ready to move beyond identifying Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders and develop comprehensive, evidence-informed evaluations that guide clinical decision-making.
Using Robyn Merkel-Walsh's Four MYODomains™ framework — Airway, Feeding & Swallowing, Structure, and Speech — participants will learn a systematic assessment process beginning with medical history and case review through clinical examination, differential diagnosis, report writing, referrals, and treatment planning.
Participants will learn to interpret findings, identify underlying structural and functional contributors, determine patient readiness for therapy, and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams. Through demonstrations, case studies, and practical assessment activities, clinicians will gain confidence conducting comprehensive OMD evaluations across the lifespan.
